Dr. Michele L. DozierDirector of OperationsDr. Michele L. Dozier, born in Brooklyn, New York, lived most of her adolescent years in West Chester, Pennsylvania. Dr. Dozier received her Bachelor's in Biology with a minor in Medical Technology at West Chester University, during which she studied one year abroad at The University of the Virgin Islands in St. Thomas. Dr. Dozier attended The University of Maryland Dental School and currently practices in a pediatric office in Owings Mills, Maryland. She has traveled to the Dominican Republic, Jamaica and Alaska to provide dental work for under-served populations. She is a member of the National Dental Society, Maryland Dental Society and the National Association for Black Journalists. In January 2005, Dr. Dozier received the Drum Major for Justice Humanitarian Award from her Alma mater West Chester University, which complementsthe Mayoral "Key" from the City of West Chester as well as numerous honors from the City of Baltimore for her volunteer service. In addition, she continues to serve her community as an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. Last year while receiving her journalism degree from The Broadcasting Institute of Maryland, Dr. Dozier had the pleasure of hosting a radio show and two television shows in the Baltimore area. In addition, she also serves as the Director of Media Relations for the Maryland Children's Oral Health Institute. After practicing as a general dentist for six years, Dr. Dozier has realized her passion for wanting to provide dental treatment for children. Currently she is furthering her studies at UNLV School of Dental Medicine where she will obtain her specialty in pediatric dentistry. |
