Project Healthy HalloweenProject Healthy Halloween is collaboration between The Children’s Oral Health Institute, Maryland Dental Society and the Maryland State Dental Association to distribute thousands to toothbrushes to elementary school children prior to Halloween. The goal of the dentists is to get toothbrushes into the hands and on onto the teeth of the school-age trick-or treaters throughout the state. Children consume large amounts of sweet treats on October 31st. The dentists take advantage of the captive audience of Halloween enthusiast and provide teachers with toothbrushes for their students. The organizations provide the schools with toothbrushes donated to The Children’s Oral Health Institute from the Colgate Palmolive Company and the Sunstar Americas Company. The month long effort is just another project by The Maryland Children’s Oral Health Institute and the dedicate dentists of Maryland to educated children and families about the importance of maintaining good oral health. |
